A dreamy weekend

We put together a “dream weekend” schedule for you based off some of our favorite things to do in Davis. We hope you’ll enjoy your TIME in Davis as much as we did during the 4 years we lived here!

Friday

3:00 - 5:00

Arrive in Davis, CA

Check into your hotel or AirBnb and freshen up for a nice dinner in downtown Davis. See FAQs for places to stay.

5:00 - 8:00

Dinner in downtown Davis

If you’re in the mood for a strong beverage and delicious Thai food, head to our favorite Sophia’s Thai Kitchen, or if you’re more of a burgers and brew type, head over to Burgers and Brew on 3rd St.

8:00 - 10:00

GET A WIKI

Downtown Davis has a bunch of cute little bars all within walking distance of each other — but it wouldn’t be a trip to Davis without a stop at the Wiki Bar at Cafe Bernardo (get a “Wicky Wacky Woo”).

10:00 - Late

Rest up

Time for some sweet dreams. We can’t wait to celebrate with you tomorrow!

Saturday

9:00 - 11:00

Coffee + Davis Farmers Market

Grab yourself a coffee or juice at Cloud Forest Cafe and walk over to the Davis Farmer’s Market. While you’re at FarMar, pet some puppies, taste some delicious fruits, and don’t skip the fresh apple cider.

11:00 - 1:00

Brunch time

Walk across the street from the Farmer’s Market to Crepeville or Cafe Bernardo for a crepe or benedict. Take your time and enjoy the spring air and sound of bike wheels riding by. If you finish early, chill out on the grass in the big park by the Farmer’s Market.

1:00 - 3:30

Chill & get ready for the wedding

Head back to your hotel or AirBnb for a little chill time, then start getting ready for the wedding! Aim to be party-ready by 3:30pm so you have time to meet up with friends or coordinate rides to the venue.

3:30 - 4:00

Head over to Yolanda Ranch

It takes about 15 minutes to get from downtown Davis to Yolanda Ranch by car.

4:15 - 4:30

Take your seats

It’s almost time! Grab a fan and some lemonade and head to the benches on the grass.

4:30 - 5:00

Mercy & Jenn get married!

Wedding ceremony in the garden at Yolanda Ranch, 20432 County Rd 99 Woodland, CA 95695.

5:00 - 6:00

Cocktail Hour

Head to the bar for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the lawn

6:00 - 8:00

Dinner & Speeches

Enjoy dinner and speeches outside under the stars.

8:00 - 8:20

Musical Performances

You thought we’d have a big party without musical performances? You were wrong. Enjoy!

8:20 - 10:00

Dance the night away

Dance your heart out, hydrate, have fun. The party’s over at 10, but Sophia’s closes late… we might see you there!

Sunday

10:00 - 12:00

Wake up & check out, or keep sleeping

For folks leaving Davis on Sunday, treat yourself to a hot shower before you check out, then grab a hot coffee and pastry at Mishka’s Cafe.

12:00 - 2:00

Rent bikes and go explore

Davis is a city meant to be explored by bicycle. Your hotel probably has complimentary bikes you can take for the day or there are plenty of places to rent bikes near campus. We love biking around campus and through the Arboretum, go check it out!

2:00 - 3:00

Visit the new art museum on campus

UC Davis just opened a new art museum worth checking out. The Manetti Shrem Museum of Art is open 10am-5pm on Sundays.

3:00 - 4:00

Go see the cows

Did you know UC Davis is home to the best veterinary medicine program in the country? There are tons of animals on campus, but our favorites to visit are the cows just outside the Tercero dorms on Dairy Rd. Get off your bike or out of your car and walk up to them to say hello (politely and with love—don’t touch).

4:00 - 6:00

Ride off into the sunset

Grab a quick bite to eat before you leave (may we suggest Sam's Mediterranean Cuisine?) and then ride off into the sunset, friend. You have played such an important role in our lives and it has been truly lovely celebrating with you! Safe travels home, we love you.
